Just wanted to update those of you interested in our progress out on this little run with Madina Lake. Played a couple smaller shows and had a blast with them. Everyone showing up has been a lot of fun and has definitely been up for a different kind of rocknroll show. This is the first time I’ve been at my computer because I tend to walk about each city we are in and get a feel for the people and the city. Now, let me ramble as I recall the post-show events of last night.
I guess I processed a lot of info yesterday in Cleveland because last night ended up being pretty memorable. I dont want to ramble but I’d like to share something. In the middle of the night I apparently got on my hands and knees by Ryan and I was screaming that someone was gonna see us and we had to hide. Ryan started panicking and was yelling back “WHO!?” and I started yelling about how we had to get the call letters of the radio station before we ran and hid from this person. Now, I would elaborate on what I was thinking but I was indeed asleep. This is all told by Ryan and the rest of the guys since i woke up the whole crew in this mess. He said my eyes were wide open and I had him convinced that someone was after us. We yelled back and forth as I apparently got more and more frustrated at him for not understanding what I was screaming about. This went on for quite sometime until I allegedly laid back down and went to sleep.
Hours later, but still in the middle of the night, I woke up screaming and slamming doors thinking that I had left all my belongings at the venue the night before. I ran out into a parking lot in my underwear in the cold and rain and burst into our trailer throwing things all over. I guess I didn’t see what I was expecting to and became convinced that yes, I had indeed left behind all of my belongings. After waking the band again and being yelled at for screaming at them about my stuff, I ran back into the rain, still in my underwear, back to the trailer to check for other things. After shaking off the part of me that was still sleeping I calmed enough to realize all my stuff was with me and all was ok.
Of course I broke into laughter as I felt that euphoria that hits you after you realize you are ok in the midst of being convinced of a horrible emergency. Made my way back to the van to apologize and was then told the story of what had happened hours before. I’m having a great day now and wanted to document this since I’m supposed to be documenting my dreams in my journal which I did indeed accidentally leave at home on this tour.
Ryan, Johnny, Mark - I’m sorry
but for me and anyone else that can relate, this made my day.
Love to all
